Thanks to the technology used in iPad Mini, Apple's iPad 5 will have the same slimmer bezel on it screen display.

iPad 5 is rumoured to have slimmer bezels while still sporting the same sleek and sophisticated design.

According to previous reports and alleged iPad 5 cases, the new iPad will be 20% thinner. The numerous leaks also point to a narrower design thanks to smaller bezels and a 25% lighter iPad.

According to tech Web site DigiTimes, Apple will try to make its design work with the aid of GF2 touch screen technology that was first used in iPad Mini last year.

This touch screen technology builds the touch sensors into the glass that covers the actual screen; thus, saves space and makes the device look thinner. However, this does not mean that Apple will not use a Retina Display. The sensors will be incorporated into the glass to make the tablet thinner.

According to the latest note of KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, iPad 5 and iPhone 5 with plastic casing will debut in early September.

Tears will be shed as no successor of iPad Mini will be released this year. The delay could be due to the production of the Retina display and the components required to improve the power efficiency needed in a smaller tablet, Apple will likely shoot for a launch in March or April 2014.

Kuo has a good reputation when it comes to Apple-related rumours since some of his previous speculations became true.

The full-fledged iPad 5 will have an A7 processor, support for 4G/LTE connection and internal storage up to 128GB, according to Kuo. Rumour has it that the device will retain its 5MP rear camera although many Apple fans wished that Apple will upgrade it to 8MP.
