An iPad 6 photo and so-called dummy design leak from reports in Asia, which also indicate that volume production of the device has entered the early phase.

The leak just proves what is expected from the iPad Air 2 or iPad 6 as both Sonny Dickson and Phone Arena have publicised photos that reveal the upcoming device showing a Touch ID home button, and displaying a design that is nearly identical to that of the current iPad Air model.

Sonny Dickson, an Australian blogger, who is also known for leaking iDevices in the past, posted a picture of the so-called iPad 6 on Twitter on Tuesday. As seen it the photo he tweeted, it is clearly seen that the upcoming iPad 6 or iPad Air 2 tablet will take cues and suggestions from the iPhone 5 and have a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. If the photo is right and precise, then the iPad 6 will possibly weigh around 484 g, which is only a little heavier than the current iPad Air model.

It's not only Sonny Dickson who leaked a photo of the iPad Air 2, Phone Arena also leaked iPad Air 2 images this week. The photos reportedly show the final design of the tablet. According to the pictures, the iPad Air 2 will have the same dimensions, design, ports, camera, and button placements, same as the old versions of it, aside from some minor tweaks and adjustments. These include a microphone opening next to the camera unit on the rear as well as the Touch ID home button as mentioned above.

Aside from the iPad 6 design, the rumoured internal specs include Apple's 64-bit A8 processor as well as enhancements to both the main and rear cameras.

Thus far, the release date of iPad 6 has yet to be declared, but in traditional Apple fashion, the company will possibly debut the next-gen tablets around October of this year. Also, according to the famous analyst, Ming Chi Kuo, the iPad Air 2 will launch with the iPad Mini 3 in a singular grand event, likely between September and October.
