iPad Air 2 Coming, Taking a Look Back on Steve Jobs’ Depression and iPad Launch
Do you remember the very first time the iPad was launched? Everyone was so excited and giddy about the release of the new innovation back in 2010. If you remember the thrill and delight, you surely would have remembered the disappointment too when you found out that the cutting-edge and upscale device did not have a USB port.
A continues barrage of complaints were hurled against the iPad; emphasizing that the new device is very anti-climactic, a let down. Some people were even unhappy with the name itself. Apparently, numerous negative reactions were actually sent to Steve Jobs himself.
In the unauthorized autobiography of Steve Jobs, written by Walter Isaacson (via Business Insider), it said that the enormity of the disdain of both the media and the public put a lot of pressure on Steve Jobs. The negative backlash left Steve Jobs feeling very annoyed and depressed, according to sources like AppleInsider. The internet kept the fuel of complaints burning by adding gas to the fire. They reinforced negativity by adding even more criticisms.
On the other hand, some people believe that the negative reaction of the media was a result of the non-vip treatment. Although the reaction from the snubbed media was very juvenile and childish, it did have a bad effect on the launch.
Of course, Apple being the leader that it is, somehow managed to overcome that difficulty. They put up a brave front and they managed to weather the storm.Today, it is extremely evident that Apple and its list of products, including the iPad, have grown exponentially. The millions of Apple and iTunes users are the most concrete testaments to the company's growth and power. Now that September 9, 2014 has come, Apple has taken the center stage in the world of tech, launching a whole new line of innovation that seeks to dominate its previous turf. The iPad Air 2 will also reportedly launch this November.
