iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 Release Earlier Than October - Analyst
iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 release date may come earlier than the previous year, according to a reliable Apple analyst.
KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believed the second-generation iPad Air could come earlier in the year than the previous iPad Air, which was released in October 2013.
The analyst added in his research note to investors Apple will pack the touchID fingerprint sensor in the upgraded iPad Air and Retina iPad mini that will be released later this year.
Meanwhile, Macrumors reported iPad Air 2 features will include the touch ID, A8 processor and improved camera with a resolution of 8 Mbps.
The famous analyst of Apple products also retracted what he said earlier stressing a newer version of iPad Mini with Retina Display will come this year.
"We previously thought Apple would not release a new version of the iPad mini this year, but we now think Apple will launch an upgraded version with same form factor, A8 processor and Touch ID (fingerprint recognition) to boost shipments of iPad mini with Retina display," Kuo said.
He added the tech giant will most likely to cut the price of the existing Retina iPad Mini. He said there will be not much upgrade on the next generation of Apple's miniature tablet and the newer model will feature the same form factor with an upgraded processor and Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
The researcher also hinted about the long rumoured 12.9-inch iPad dubbed as iPad Pro. He claimed Apple was working on the device earnestly.
The new slab's focus will be on entertainment and productivity. But Kuo retained his claim saying the product will not come out this year. The tablet may come as early as 2015.
Deals and discounts on the current iPad Air and iPad Mini Retina emerged online despite the device became available in November.
