iPad Air Deals and Discounts: Best Buy, Staples, Target Slash iPad Air Price
Third party retailers follow Walmart's lead and slashed iPad Air's price.
The new iPad Air became available for purchase on Nov 1. Many retailers took the opportunity to attract a lot of buyers by offering a discount on the latest generation of Apple's iPad.
Best Buy, Staples and Target offers $20 off the regular price of iPad Air. The entry-level 16 GB iPad Air variant is now available for $479. Best Buy and Target offer high trade-in values for old iPads and provide consumers with gift card, which they can use in buying the new iPad.
Last week, WalMart announced that it will offer the new iPad Air for $479 starting Nov 1. Walmart customers may trade in their old tablets and receive up to $300 worth of gift card. The retailer also offered the iPad 4 with Retina display for $449 now that iPad Air is out.
Apple Store does not offer the discount but it offers 24 hours shipping to consumers in some countries such as Australia. In the US, all models of the device are listed as shipping by Nov 4. In Hong Kong, the device is already sold out.
Unfortunately, the new iPad Mini with Retina display does not receive the same treatment and is still offered in its original price of $399 and is bound for release later this month. However, Apple claimed that supply of the miniature iPad may be limited due to the strong demand on the device.
