Holding off your planned iPad Air purchase for a couple more of weeks could save you $120 as U.S. retail giant Target is reportedly offering the now thin and light 9.7-inch iOS 7 slate in 16GB and Wi-Fi configuration for as low as $379.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, Target will sell the basic iPad Air model at $479 from the original price point of $499 beginning on Nov 27 or two days before the Black Friday hostilities kick off.

But the goodies don't stop at that point, said the same report, adding that each Air purchase during the promo period warrants a gift card worth the equivalent of $100, which buyers can opt to use on their tablet buys or iPad Air accessories.

So far, Target offers the juiciest iPad Air deal even besting the expected price cuts that Apple Stores will offer for Black Friday.

But those looking to score the first iPad Mini instead, savings will indeed be a little better. The smaller iPad in 16GB and Wi-Fi only will be up for grabs at $224 on the strength of a $75 gift card that will be attached with the device.

There is no mention at the moment of planned discounts for the Retina iPad Mini 2, which Apple will sell for $399 on release date. However, when the actual roll out would be remains a puzzle for everyone though the tech giant has hinted of a late November availability for the more popular iPad.

It is likely that the Mini 2 will be packaged with Target's Black Friday promo deals for Apple's iOS devices, that is the products gets unbox right before the Thanksgiving week.

An earlier GBM report has suggested that Apple will possibly unleash the Mini 2 for commercial release on Nov 22 or the Friday prior to the Black Friday sale events.

As for the iPhone 5S, the dangle includes an outright $20 price off from the original tag of $199, which comes with a 2-year telco contract. However, Target is sweetening the deal with a $30 gift card so buyers visiting the retail store will be given a total of $50 savings.

The gift card privileges also extend to other Apple products that merit welcome discounts covering the iPod Touch, the Apple TV and purchases on iTunes.

But according to Apple Insider, not everyone will get a hold of the Apple product gift cards as they are in limited supply. So it will be first come, first serve for iPad and iPhone deal seekers come the Black Friday festivities two weeks from now.
