The iPad Air retained its 9.7 inches Retina screen display. It also packed the same processor of the iPhone 5S - 64-bit A7 processor. According to Apple Senior Vice President Phil Schiller, the new iPad will be 72 times faster than the previous iPad.

Meanwhile, Google is expected to release its own 10-inch tablet in a few days. Rumours claimed that Google Nexus 10 2 will come with a better processor - quad core Snapdragon 800 processor paired with Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

The new generation of Nexus tablets may also pack a larger internal storage and an expandable storage via MicroSD slot as well as LTE connectivity.
