iPad Mini 2 Release Date: 5 Reasons Shoppers will (Definitely) Wait
iPad mini 2 release date is now leaning towards end of the year (late Q3 to Q4), considering the sets of rumours that we have been reading on the web. Many eager Apple shoppers are willing to wait, despite some reported iPad mini price drops in some stores. Some shoppers have been tempted to get the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, but the Apple appetite prevailed.
"Our teams are hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software, and services that we can't wait to introduce this fall and throughout 2014," Apple CEO Tim Cook has explained in a recent investors briefing. Mr Cook's words make most of the reason why some tech sleuths are now convinced that the iPad mini 2 is not going to be unveiled so soon this year. This could mean those who have just bought an iPad mini do not have to upgrade in a couple of months' time.
iPad Mini 2 Release Date: 5 Reasons Shoppers will Wait
We still don't have the specifics on the iPad mini 2 release date, but we know one thing: the most serious of shoppers will wait. Here are five reasons why:
1. Crisp, brilliant screen display. The iPad mini 2 could come with Apple's Retina or Sharp's IGZO technology. Either way, its 7.9in screen will display a resolution of 2048 x 1536, according to rumours. This means a pixel density of 324 ppi, which is virtually as great as iPhone 5's 326 ppi.
2. iPad mini 2 wireless charging. Apple has recently sought patent for a new Smart Cover, which has wireless charging features. The iPad mini is already receiving positive reviews in terms of battery life. Quick and easy charging would make the experience even better in the product upgrade.
3. The Apple design. It is widely known that Apple users are being criticized for being fanatics. They allegedly line up outside Apple stores even if there is nothing really new about its product upgrade. In many cases, however, Apple users appreciate the little tweaks that the company does because there is always some noticeable improvement in the user experience. Still, users upgrading to iPad mini 2 from iPad mini expect a whole lot of improvements.
4. Larger storage. An iPad mini 2 with 128 GB storage is a possibility. The iPad 4 has only recently been joined by a 128 GB variant. But the Cupertino company may have already been getting ready for the same storage size to fit in the new mini.
5. Price vs Value for Money. Many prospective buyers were unhappy about the $329 minimum iPad mini price. However, when positive reviews came out, the price has started making sense to some gadget shoppers. There are already rumours that the iPad mini 2 price could be tens of dollars more expensive. But this is not likely to stop Apple enthusiasts. In fact, many of them have saved up for the device already.
