Reports claimed that iPad Mini with Retina display release date may be delayed due to manufacturing issues with its screen display.

Apple cannot get enough displays for its iPad Mini with Retina due to manufacturing issues mainly from Sharp not managing to create its IGZO displays up to Apple's Retina standards, as they are prone to burn-in issues.

However, CNET reported that Apple has no major problem when it comes to the iPad Mini Retina's display manufacturing problems. However, the company told consumers that miniature iPad release date will be delayed to boost the sales of the less popular iPad Air.

iPad Mini has cannibalized the sales of the full-fledged iPad. Apple expects a strong demand on iPad Mini with Retina display on its release date. Thus, it seemed that the company wants to sell more units of iPad Air before it will release the refreshed iPad Mini.

iPad Mini with Retina display is set for release on Nov. 22. However, limited supply of iPad Mini may cause panic buying among interested buyers who want to get the device before Christmas.

Apple has reportedly addressed the limited supply of iPad Mini later this month. The Cupertino-based company is claimed to be turning to Samsung to make up for Sharp's inability to meet Apple's expectations when it comes to the supply of Retina display.

Apple's latest generation of iPad Mini has packed iPhone 5S' 64-bit A7 chip processor and a separate M7 graphics chip that provide faster and more powerful performance. iPad Mini with Retina display also improved its battery capacity allowing users to enjoy up to 10 hours with constant surfing the Web on WiFi, watching video, or listening to music.

iPad Mini with Retina display also has more storage options available: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The new iPad Mini tablet is pre-installed with iOS 7, which boasts new and improved features such as Control Center, AirDrop and smarter multitasking.

iPad Mini with Retina display price starts at $399. However, buyers itching their hands to get the new iPad Mini with Retina display can now start placing their orders on the Apple Online Store. The cellular version of the device will also come in various carriers.
