iPad Mini to Sport Smaller and Slimmer Design?
Reports unraveled that that the rumored iPad Mini will have a smaller and slimmer design.
A lot of people are wondering how iPad Mini will look like after reports emerged that the device is already in the production stage.
According to published articles, the bezel around the display is a lot smaller than what the original iPad has and this is not the way Apple may have designed it, as that bezel is an important part of the device, providing a spot to hold the tablet without touching the display.
Rumors said that iPad Mini may preserve the same resolution ratio as the iPad as app developers can easily adapt with iPad Mini. Moreover, the new Apple's iPad Mini could come as thin as the iPod Touch 4, making it lighter and easier to operate with one hand for extended periods of time.
Apple would like to break the rising popularity of 7-inch tablet Google Nexus 7 as it wants to be a full-featured tablet rather than a large smartphone.
According to the schematics, the iPad Mini is 7.3 mm thick, 134.73mm wide, 200.13mm long, and feature a mini dock connector, redesigned speakers, and add a microphone on the backside. Moreover, the iPad Mini will feature a rear camera and a front camera for FaceTime, although the pixels of shooters are not yet revealed.
Reports say that the screens will feature indium gallium zinc oxide panel technology. This seems possible since Apple included Sharp in its line of suppliers for screen panels. Currently, 60 to 70 percent of screen panels are supplied by Samsung, with the rest shared by LG Display and Sharp.
iPad Mini is expected to invade the market on September 12 along with iPhone 5 and will be available on September 21.
