iPad Pro / iPad Max Release In October 2014 With 4K Resolution?
The reported iPad Pro or iPad Max release date may be in October 2014 packing an amazing 4K resolution.
As 2013 comes to a close, wild rumors about the upcoming iPad swirled all over the net. The new tablet from Apple will sport a 12.9 inches screen display, which is over 3 inches larger than the current full-sized iPad Air. Latest rumors claimed the screen resolution will not be less than 4K pixels.
The device will be likely named as iPad Pro or iPad Max. According to Digitimes, Quanta Computer who is Apple's supplier and manufacturer is working on a 12.9-inch and 13.3-inch panels. Along with the increased screen, the tablet will most likely boost its resolution.
The source cited in the report the iPad Pro is likely to have 4K resolution panel and will ditch the current Retina display sported by previous iPads. 4K resolution will power 4000 pixels, which is apt for the device rumored massive screen. This is expected to deliver sharper and crisper pictures. If rumors were true, iPad Pro / iPad Max will be the first tablet to sport a 4K screen display.
However, there is another report from Chinese Web site PadNews saying Apple is currently testing 2K and 4K displays for the next generation of iPad. This prompted the rumors the said tablet may come in two variants. The iPad Air that was launched last October has a pixel resolution of 2048 x 1536. According to Forbes, iPad Air is already sporting a 2K display.
As for the iPad Pro/iPad Max release date, a launch is expected to be in October 2014, which is a year after its predecessor was released to maximize the sales and profits of iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display.
Tim Cook teased Apple fans that the company is going to make some "Big Plans" for 2014. In a letter by the CEO himself to the employees, he said the new plans are something that "customers are going to love." Apart from this, Apple has not confirmed any of the rumors yet.
