iPad Pro Release Date In Q3 2014 With Powerful Processor And Eye-Tracking Feature
iPad Pro release date is set by the third quarter of the year packing high-end features.
According to Digitimes, Apple is likely to launch a 12.9-inch model by the end of the third quarter, the earliest. The report added Apple will receive shipments of 80 to 90 million units from a Taiwan-based supplier. This coincides with the rumors that iPad Pro will be launched in October, a year after the iPad Air was introduced.
iPad Pro is expected to pack a 12.9-inch screen display. The tablet will come in two versions: one with 2K screen resolution and the other with 4K pixel resolution. Samsung already led the release of a tablet with bigger screen size when it released the Galaxy NotePRO and Galaxy TabPRO tablets early this month at the Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This added to the pressure to Apple to release a tablet soon that will compete with Samsung's new line.
However, many are doubtful that Apple will release two tablets with varying pixel resolutions and price ranges. There may be a problem with the supply, especially as the release date is imminent.
iPad Pro is also reported to pack an eye-tracking technology for added security. The device will also pack the TouchID fingerprint sensor that was first seen in iPhone 5S. Thus, iPad Pro will be a more secured device.
There were reports that Samsung will drop such feature in Samsung Galaxy 5, its upcoming flagship phone. Developers said the feature is non-intuitive. It will be troublesome for users to always place the device close to their eyes everytime they will unlock the phone. Moreover, the feature will face difficulty in low-light conditions and with users who wear glasses.
iPad Pro is also speculated to become a revolutionary device in the tablet market as it packs a more powerful chipset similar to that of MacBook Air. There are rumors that iPad Pro will put Apple's MacBook Air line to rest. Thus, the new iPad must have enough power and speed to match the processing power of Apple's portable laptop.
