Rumors that iPhone 5 will be released in early September and will have an HD front-facing camera and a thinner camera at the back gained new momentum with the happenings in the WWDC event and, a statement of a noted analyst.

KGI analyst and Apple insider Mingchi Kuo, who claimed he has sources in the supply chain, told investors that Apple will make a few essential adjustments to the next generation of iPhone.

Kuo believes that Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) will move the front facing camera from the side to the middle of the phone and will be able to capture HD images and said that speculations that the new iPhone will have a 4-inch display.

According to the analyst, Apple will not increase the pixel of the camera but will improve the aperture range from f/2.4 to f/2.2. He also said that the rear camera will be significantly thinner than the current size of iPhone 4S. He added that this particular spec will cause "unprecedented challenges" to the suppliers in producing the components of the rear camera.

The thinner camera, along with the use of in-cell touchscreen technology, will allow for a 7.9mm thick iPhone, down from the iPhone 4S's thickness of 9.3mm, Kuo said.

Some of the rumors about the new iPhone 5 are it will be equipped with a variant of A5X chip, 1GB RAM in iPhone 4S/iPhone 4 casing. In earlier reports, iPhone 5 will be released in October. And it is confirmed that it was not be released this June since Apple did not include it in the introduction of new iOS and Mac Book yesterday at the WWDC event. However, there are new reports that the media event for the iPhone launch will be held in September along with the fourth generation of iPad.
