iPhone 5 vs. HTC One X+ : Apple’s iPhone May Not Stand a Chance
This week, Taiwan-based mobile manufacturer HTC announced its latest line of mobile phones, including an upgraded of its flagship phone HTC One X.
Planning to buy a new smartphone this month or this season? There are a lot of smartphones currently available in the market. HTC was once considered as an underdog in the smartphone battle trailing behind two tech giants, Apple and Samsung.
However, HTC introduced its revolutionary device the other day - HTC One X+, which is an updated version of the One X. The company boasts the amazing features of the new HTC One X+ including the faster 1.7GHz Tegra 3 CPU, larger 2,100mAh battery, expanded 64GB of storage and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sense 4+ onboard.
It is expected that the new HTC smartphone will intensify the existing competition in the market and will battle head on with some of the mobile phones with a strong hold in the market such as the Apple's iPhone 5.
Last month, Apple held a media event for the introduction of its latest iPhone - iPhone 5. In the media event at Yerba Buena in California. iPhone 5 boasts some of its amazing features are 4G/LTE connectivity, 4-inch screen display and new operating system.
In terms of specs and features, does Apple's iPhone 5 stand a chance against HTC's latest smartphone? Below is the comparison of the two new smartphones.
Screen Display - HTC One X+ offers a 4.7 inch S-LCD2 display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. Meanwhile, Apple's iPhone 5 has 4-inch screen display with 640 x 1136 pixel resolution.
Processor - The HTC One X+ has a 1.7GHz quad core LTE processor compared to iPhone 5's A6 1.2GHZ dual core chip.
Operating System - HTC One X+ runs with Google Android's latest mobile software Jelly Bean while iPhone 5 is powered by Apple's iOS 6.
Storage - HTC One X+ has 32GB and 64GB versions. However, iPhone 5 has 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants.
Camera - Both devices have 8 megapixels rear camera. However, HTC One X+'s 1.6 megapixel front shooter compared to iPhone 5's 1.2 MP.
Battery - The iPhone 5 has a small 1440mAh battery while the HTC One X+ comes with a huge 2100mAh battery.
Apple's iPhone 5 is now available in various carriers and in Apple Stores. The HTC One X+, on the other hand, will hit Europe and Northern Asia this October, and in South Asia by November.
