Just as we thought that iPhone 5 is the best thing that will happen next month, Apple is rumored to release a 7-inch tablet, iPad Mini.

September will be full of surprises from tech giant Apple as it will bring out its highly anticipated devices. Speculations claimed that it will be a two-hit combo as Apple will be introducing its first smaller tablet that late CEO Steve Jobs abhorred before.

So if the six generation of iPhone and a smaller iPad will be on sale in September, which device will you buy? Below are some of the rounded rumors of the two devices to give you a hint on what you should choose.

iPhone 5

Taiwanese daily newspaper Apple Daily published a report claiming that the new iPhone 5 will be skinnier. Earlier reports have suggested that the device will be taller than the current model and feature an expanded display. iPhone 5's final measurement specs will be 58.47mm x 123.83mm x 7.6mm. As with previous iterations, thickness is expected to be equal across the body.

Another rumor surrounding the device is its smaller micro dock connector. Previous iPhones sport a30-pin dock connector and earlier reports claimed that it will be replaced with 19-pin dock connector. This may impact consumers who would like to upgrade as they will also have to upgrade their accessories using 30-pin.

New reports said that the new iPhone 5 will have a 9-pin dock connector. The beta version of iOS 6 holds proof on this claim. Smaller dock connector will yield more space inside for greater features.

With minimal changes made on the outside, we can only hope that the Apple packed more inside the new iPhone 5. Some of the rumored features of the upcoming iPhone 5 are 4G/LTE capability, A6 chip and equipped by the new iOS 6.

iPad Mini

According to the schematics, the iPad Mini is 7.3 mm thick, 134.73mm wide, 200.13mm long, and feature a mini dock connector, redesigned speakers, and add a microphone on the backside. Moreover, the iPad Mini will feature a rear camera and a front camera for FaceTime, although the pixels of shooters are not yet revealed.

Reports say that the screens will feature indium gallium zinc oxide panel technology. This seems possible since Apple included Sharp in its line of suppliers for screen panels. Currently, 60 to 70 percent of screen panels are supplied by Samsung, with the rest shared by LG Display and Sharp.

Everyone is holding their breath for September 12, the date when Apple is expected to unveil its two products. According to the rumors, the iPhone 5 should be good to go for preorders on the launch and will be released on September 21. However, it is still unclear when the iPad Mini would be released.
