Tech giant Apple finally unveiled its long rumoured cheaper smartphone, iPhone 5C, that will battle head on with other smartphones in the market like the Samsung Galaxy S4.

The iPhone 5C price was revealed and the unlocked 16GB Apple smartphone costs $549 and the 32GB costs $649. Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 also comes with similar price in eBay and Amazon.

There has been a decrease on the price of Samsung Galaxy S4 since the announcement of the company's phablet - Galaxy Note 3.

This made consumers to think whether it is best to buy an iPhone 5C or the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Screen Display - Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen display. iPhone 5C features the same, old 4-inch screen display of iPhone 5.

Processor - Samsung Galaxy S4 is powered by a quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 and quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7. iPhone 5C is powered by the dual core A6 processor.

Operating System - Samsung Galaxy S4 was released with 4.2 version of Android Jelly Bean OS. iPhone 5C will run on the latest iOS 7 that comes with new features.

Internal Storage - iPhone 5C comes with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants. Samsung Galaxy S4 is also available in those variants but it also includes an expandable storage up to 64GB via microSD slot.

Camera - Samsung Galaxy S4 comes with 13MP rear shooter and boasts dual shot feature. iPhone 5C comes with 8MP rear camera but Apple announced of its better camera software.

Battery Life - Samsung Galaxy S4 comes with a generous 2600mAh battery capacity. As usual, Apple did not disclose the battery life of iPhone 5C. However, consumers are hoping to see improvements on the new handset.

Colours - Samsung Galaxy S4 comes in Black Mist and White Frost colour options. In Sprint, Purple Mirage is added on the line up. iPhone 5C, on the other hand, comes in a myriad of colour options - red, blue, green, yellow and white.
