iPhone 5C Web Browsing with iOS 7 Safari App Shown in New Video [Watch]
A new video of the iPhone 5C has emerged on the Asian web site youku.com. The video shows the user browsing the web using the iOS 7 Safari App.
The iPhone 5C is rumoured to be a less expensive smart phone from the Apple stable. The device is expected to come in a plastic body, unlike the other smart phones released by the company.
The iPhone 5C is expected to come in 5 different colours - yellow, blue, green and white. This is based on the leaked images of the phone.
There have been consistent leaks of the iPhone 5C in the past few weeks. The leaks come in the wake of the expected unveiling of the phone in an Apple event scheduled on 10 Sept.
In the past the leaks were only comprised of the body of the phone like the back panel. More recent video leaks show the full phone including the screen et al. There have not been any leaks showing the fully functional iPhone 5C, until this video.
The current leaked video shows an alleged iPhone 5C that is turned on. The user is seen using the latest iOS 7, which is clearly visible. The video lasts only for a few seconds, so many of the functionalities of the phone are not explored.
The Safari app is however tested by the user and the video shows the user browsing the net looking at an image of the iPhone 5.
The phone in the video did not show the rumoured finger print scanner. Analysts believe that the technology can be used for the identification of the owner of the device and for security purposes.
Many such premium features like the finger print scanner are not expected on the iPhone 5C however. Analysts feel that Apple will need to sacrifice a few functionalities in order to make the phone more affordable.
The iPhone 5C is rumoured to come with Retina display, dual core processor, A6 chip, an 8MP camera and LED flash. It is expected to run on the iOS 7 operating system.
The iPhone 5C is rumoured to be priced anywhere between $300 and $400. The phone is expected to be unveiled along with the iPhone 5S at an Apple event to be held on 10 Sept. The 5S is expected to be the next flagship phone from Apple.
