With still no news on the iPhone 5S or the iPhone 6 until the WWDC 2013 in June, it seems that the iPhone 5S's delay in both announcements and releases is affecting more than just the anticipation of Apple users.

Telco company Vodafone is also experiencing a delay in releasing its reported 4G service, this time due to the fact that it will wait for the next iPhone iteration to arrive.

CNet reports that 4G, which will be Vodafone's premium service, was first scheduled to launch in June, but due to delays in the iPhone 5S, which is expected to have 4G capabilities, compared to the iPhone 5's4G that's compatibly only with EE.

For the mean time, 3G reports that 4G on the Vodafone may not see any release until the third quarter of the year, around September at the very earliest, unless the next iPhone gets delayed again for some reason.

The report adds that for Vodafone's 4G to work on the iPhone 5S, the next Apple device should have 800 MHz or 2.6 HGz. If the September release does push through, EE would have a 10-month lead ahead of the competition.

But Vodafone's willingness to wait it out for the iPhone 5S means it is really banking on the iPhone 5S to deliver, hopefully with the expected results.

Another concept for the iPhone 6

As far as concepts go for the still unannounced iPhone 6, another video from YouTube user ConceptsiPhone has been uploaded, this time touting a concept where the iPhone 6 will be slimmer, water and dust proof, and have wireless charging, to name a few.

Gotta Be Mobile reports that while these concepts are in no way related to the Apple device nor is it even in the style of Apple's trademark iPhone, the creators Ran Avni and Ugyar Kaya were also responsible for previous concepts wherein the iPhone 6 had no home button.

What is notable is that the concept video does incorporate a few key features that may possibly come out on the iPhone 6 or be a great suggestion, especially for users who may find them to be a great addition to the iPhone 6.

Among these features are the water and dust resistance, which is already being rolled out to top competitors like the Sony Xperia Z, the 1080p display to match the rumors of a possible Retina+ display, and wireless charging, a feature that has often made an appearance in many speculations for iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 features.

The ultimate question: the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6?

Given the new developments, there's still the never-ending question of which phone would be the better choice, as there can potentially be a great amount of time of waiting in between when the iPhone 5S gets released later this year.

There is also the issue of the completion of the 2-year contract for some carriers, which can make the decision even harder, as you will have to stick with the phone you choose to buy for now, wait for the contract to expire, and then move on to a more recent iteration.

Phones Review gives good suggestions for two main types of consumers. For those who have yet to make the switch to the iPhone, it would be better to wait out for the iPhone 5S or the iPhone 6 instead of buying the iPhone 5, which is already in the market, to avoid being stuck in a two-year contract with a fairly old phone.

For the current iPhone 5 owner, it may be best to wait for the iPhone 6, since, at best, the iPhone 5S is pegged to be a refresh of the iPhone 5, with little to no groundbreaking addition, such as the iOS 7.
