iPhone 5S Release Date between September to December: 3 Things to Know
Rumours surrounding the iPhone 5S release date are too many at this point and details provided so far are conflicting, making it harder to pinpoint when exactly Apple will rollout its 2013 flagship.
Analysts seem to race on their projections, outdoing each other in providing the correct debut time for the iPhone 5 replacement. At best, however, Apple fans are left confused by contradicting predictions, too many of them eventually not panning out to expectations.
So the best source that would make sense of the chaos is Apple itself, which unfortunately is adamant on keeping its lips sealed to the day Tim Cook, the tech giant's big boss, takes the stage and wields the 5S for the world to see.
Yet Apple's silence is not entirely complete and there are three solid indicators, found below, directing everyone to likely facts about the much-awaited iPhone 5S.
The Apple giant leap will unfold starting the fall season
Apple executives, led by Mr Cook, have been consistent on their pronouncements - there'll be big surprises from the tech giant in 2013 and unwrapping will commence this coming fall, signalling the end of U.S. summer. The period referred to is no doubt late September.
There is no reason to believe that Mr Cook and company will have a change of heart between now and September so it is safe to assume that we wont be seeing the iPhone 5S earlier, dousing hopes that the handset could touchdown in advance.
5S is centred on iOS 7 with premium specs to boot
The dominant theme about the 5S is it's a minor jump from the iPhone 5. It could be but Mr Cook insists that Apple fans are in for surprises later this year and for sure the 5S is not an exception.
While it may be true that the phone is essentially the iPhone 5 in look and feel, what's inside should make the huge difference. Most of what to expect were actually supplied by Apple when it previewed the iOS 7, fully-revamped and now on its third beta release. Test drivers have so far unearthed loads of new capabilities that qualify as the killer features being referred to by analysts. They mean to describe the many 5S attributes that would neutralise many of its Android rivals, which could come in the form of enhanced camera features and solid gadget security as prime examples.
The main object is for the iPhone 5S to reflect the tight integration of software and hardware that Mr Cook is so ardent in maintaining, which brings us to the next point.
A7 CPU that clocks above 3GHz with efficient battery use
In the previous months, Mr Cook's focused his statements on avoiding technology trade offs in the rush to sell devices in great numbers. That would mean employing the best tech there is in the iPhone 5S, which according to Gotta Be Mobile is likely to be equipped with an A7 chip that is faster that any other competition.
Boasting a top-speed of 3GHz, this chip will be supplied by TSMC using the 20nm architecture in order to realise mobile energy savings of up to 25 per cent from previous iPhone makes, the same GBM report said. Now this is nothing short of a solid surprise from Apple, giving smartphone users smooth-performing gizmos that last much longer than expected.
And the iPhone 5S release date is only the start, with the iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 and iPhone 6 inevitably looming on the horizon.
