New rumours claimed that the low cost iPhone 5S will have a 4.8 inches screen display, 12 megapixels rear camera and a fingerprint sensor.

The rumoured iPhone 5S will have 4.8 inches screen display. However, Apple is wary in increasing the size of its screen display as not to pose problems to its developers.

The rear camera of the rumoured iPhone 5S will have 12 megapixels upgrading from 8 megapixels. Other factors including image stabilization, shutter speed, digital zoom quality, and colour balance tend to have a more noticeable effect on mobile camera quality, but those factors are less marketable as most casual customers have come to use MP as their sole judge of camera quality.

The iPhone 5S model is also rumoured to come in red variant. There are talks that the iPhone 5S will come in multiple colour. Apple has worked with Bono's corporate charity donation program before. But it's not entirely clear how Apple would make the 5S in colors. For instance its iPod touch currently comes in several colours, but they have an entirely aluminum metal backing.

Apple's fingerprint sensor technology has been confirmed through patent filings, but until recently had not been expected to arrive on the iPhone 6. This feature could be the next most high tech feature of iPhone since Siri.

The Apple chief Tim Cook also dropped several hints that the upcoming iPhone 6 and 5S will be released later this year. Cook said that no new products are to launch before the end of the year.

However, In the D11 interview of Apple's chief Tim Cook subtly suggested that the company will not release a low cost iPhone or a phablet this year. Tim Cook stressed that Apple invests time and effort in making each phone that serves various markets rather than making a myriad of phones aim to serve specific users.

The cheaper iPhone 5S is rumoured to sport a plastic casing, 4-inch screen display, dual core processor and 8-megapixel camera. The smartphone is speculated to be available in five to six different colours.

However, Apple has not yet commented on the rumours.
