iPhone 5S vs. iPhone 5C: Which iPhone Version is Worth the Buyer's Money on Release Date?
Tech giant Apple unveiled two smartphones this year at their iPhone launch event - iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
Apple introduced the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C that reached a wider range in the smartphone market. However, many consumers are asking which smartphone is worth the price set by the company?
iPhone 5C was released to cater first time smartphone users and the mid-market as well as to battle the myriad of Android-based smartphones in the market.
It offers a 4-inch retina display, dual core A6 chip processor, and 8MP rear camera. The device will be available in various colours: blue, green, yellow, white and red.
The iPhone 5C was attractively priced at $99 for 16GB and $199 for the 32GB with 24 months lock-in period.
iPhone 5S, on the other hand, offers the new 64-bit A7 processing chip with an accompanying M7 motion-sensoring chip, which offers 40 times the CPU and 56 times the graphics performance than that of iPhone 5.
iPhone 5S also offered software enhancements to the existing 8MP rear camera like improved photo-taking features including color filtering, image stabilization and slow motion photography.
Also, the new full-fledged iPhone confirmed the inclusion of fingerprint sensor for better security. Consumers can choose from black, silver and gold variants of the new iPhone.
The iPhone 5S will follow the traditional pricing strategy of $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64GB with the usual two-year contract.
Both handsets will run on the new iOS 7 that offers new software improvements like better Siri and iTunes Radio. The new mobile operating system will be available for download on September 18.
The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will be available for purchase on September 20 in the US, UK and Australia.
