iPhone 6, 5S Release Date on September 10 Confirmed as Apple Sends Out Invitations
Apple finally confirmed the long rumoured iPhone 6, iPhone 5S release date on September 10.
The tech giant sent out invitations to the launch event a week in advance with a catch phrase "This should brighten everyone's day." The invitation is embedded with bright coloured circles in blue, green purple and yellow that was first seen on the iOS 7 launch.
Usually, Apple's invitation provides a hint on what is the main highlight of the launch event. This year, the tagline and multi-coloured circles may refer to the cheaper iPhone that is rumoured to come in various colours.
Every year, consumers anticipate the iPhone release date as it has a large following. At the September 10 release date, it is expected that Apple will also release the official and Gold Master version of iOS 7 that was first introduced last June at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event.
According to rumours, the full-fledged iPhone 6 will be powered by the faster A7 quad core processor paired with the latest iOS 7 operating system, which is packed with new and better features. Internal storage may come up to 128GB.
iPhone 6 may also come with the rumoured fingerprint sensor on the home button for added security. A larger screen display is still unsure since Apple is quite hesitant in increasing the screen size of its smartphone.
Meanwhile, the alleged low cost iPhone, dubbed as iPhone 5S or 5C, is rumoured to have the specs of either iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S and will be available in a variety of colours. Moreover, the low cost iPhone may feature a cheap plastic casing and not in the traditional aluminium casing like that of the previous iPhones.
The cheaper iPhone may come with 4-inch screen display, A6X processor as well as an 8MP rear camera.
However, despite releasing the invitations, the Cupertino-based company remained tight-lipped on the rumours surrounding its devices.
