This is inevitable - that the next iPhone build will replicate the remarkable engineering displayed by Apple with the iPad Air. Hence we now get a thin and slim iPhone 6 that is fittingly labelled as the iPhone Air on release date.

Note that the term iPhone Air was first used by IBTimes AU in a recent report, and it is exciting a corresponding render of the handset has emerged, which of course is inspired by the incredible device that is the iPad Air - thin and light but oozing with amazing capabilities.

The iPhone Air, according to its creator, smartphone accessories maker FuseChicken, differs no more with the iPhone 5S when it comes to most of the device footprint. It is 123mm tall and 58mm wide, which are the same dimensions seen both in the 5S and the soon-to-retire iPhone 5.

Other specs mentioned in the iPhone Air concept includes High Audio Fidelity, 5MP front camera with flash, pairing with Bluetooth headset and capacitive control buttons, which highlighted the possibility that Apple will totally eliminate all moving external parts from the next iPhone.

Apple watchers expect the next iPhone refresh on Sept 2014 but some analysts are setting their sights on a June 2014 release date for the iPhone 6 or iPhone Air.
