While the tech world is anxiously waiting for Apple's confirmation on the rumours regarding the release date, design, hardware, and overall specs and features of its latest addition to its smartphone series, the iPhone 6, China has already unleashed yet another iPhone clone named the GooPhone i6.

Since tech giant Apple has not yet to officially reveal pertinent information regarding its newest baby, tech analysts might settle on its clone for now.

According to GooPhone's Web site, the GooPhone i6 is available for pre-order and will be delivered to its clients by Aug 1. The U.S.$159.99-worth knockoff boasts a sleek and slim aluminium form factor which is suggestive of Apple iPhone 6's rumoured look and design. The 4.7-inch display has the IPS QHD display techology to boot providing users with a more crisp and vibrant view of videos and images. Display resolution is said to be around 540 x 960 pixels. GooPhone made use of Mediatek MT6582 Cortex A7 CPU, touted as the first 8-core SoC able to perform high-end functions with less power consumption and with speeds of up to 1.4 GHz. System storage capacity is 1 GB and the current units on sale have 16 GB built-in memory.

For the camera specs, the GooPhone i6 has a 13-MP auto-focus rear-facing snapper and a 5-MP front lens. This China-made handset has a LED flash and geo-tagging function as well. In terms of connectivity, the i6 is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled.

GooPhone's clone handsets are run by Android instead of an iOS operating system.

Since the much-awaited Apple device, the iPhone 6, is not yet officially unveiled, there's no way can consumers compare the supposed imitation from the original smartphone.

For now, let the tech market enjoy what GooPhone i6 has to offer in terms of form, features and design.
