An iPhone 6 concept image shows off an iPad Air design.

The iPhone render was created by designer Martin Hajek and was spotted from French web site Nowhereelse.fr. The concept image was made even before iPhone 5S was released but it happened to resemble the sleek and sophisticated design of the recently released iPad Air.

The new iPhone 6 concept shows slimmer and thinner body like the refreshed iPads. This echoed the rumour that Apple is working on a phablet that can still be held in one hand.

It seems that there is a renewed interest in previous concept images made prior iPhones' release date. This could be due to some specs and features that were skipped in the iPhone 5S launch such as larger screen display.

The new iPad Air was introduced last month and was released on Nov. 1. Many critics and tech reviewers rave on the slimmer and lighter design. This sparked the rumours that Apple is working on an iPhone Air. Although the Cupertino-based company shy away to speculations.

According to rumours, iPhone 6 will come with larger screen display with a range of 4.8 to 6 inches. Many analysts predicted that Apple will finally pack a bigger screen on the iPhone 6. Also, the next Apple flagship smartphone may keep the iPhone 5S' 64-bit A7 processor, M7 graphics chip and the fingerprint sensor.

According to a Japanese publication Mac Fan 2013 Dec. picked up by tech web site Macotakara, the upcoming iPhone may have a 5-inch full HD screen display. The publication also stated that the device can be used with one hand in spite of using a large LCD display.

The magazine also stated that Apple's phablet will come in Sept. next year alongside smartwatch iWatch. This new speculations emerged after Apple CEO Tim Cook said at the company's Q4 2013 earnings call that Apple sees "significant opportunities ahead of us in both current product categories and new ones." Mr. Cook once said that new Apple products will be released this fall and across 2014.

According to previous reports, the iPhone 6 will be released in March. However, according to the latest report from Apple, iPhone 5S sales are doing well and are currently experiencing limited supply. Thus, consumers must not expect an earlier release date of the next iPhone.
