iPhone 6 Concept Suggests Waterproof and Trackpad Home Button Features
A new concept image for the upcoming iPhone 6 boasts waterproof body and Apple Magic Trackpad for the home button.
Artist Arthur Reis released a new concept image of the Apple's flagship phone with waterproof body like that of Sony Xperia Z.
In this design, the home button would function similarly to the Apple Magic Trackpad found on its Macbook laptops. Thus, the entire bottom section below the display is a capacitive touch panel with the usual button icon sitting in the middle, where the physical button used to be. A tap anywhere on the panel registers as a home button press.
Latest rumours claimed that the new iPhone will enter the phablet market by sporting an ultra-sensitive touchscreen display and a stylus.
Apple is expected to include an improved camera in the iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 5S which is rumoured to be capable of taking "Super HD" pictures. In order to take snaps at that resolution it'll need to have at least a 13 mega-pixel camera.
The lack of NFC support on the iPhone 5 was one of the biggest criticisms aimed at Apple's smartphone. Rumours suggest that the iPhone 5S could include support for the contact-less technology which can be used to pay for items in retail stores. Other features rumoured to be included in the handset is the A7 quad core chip processor, Retina or IGZO screen display among others.
Apple users and followers are anticipating the latest of the the Cupertino-based company smartphones, which to some is a form of social status.
