iPhone 6 features may include Siri, another improvement in its voice assistant.

Siri may sort through the iOS photos based on voice search and tagging, according to the latest patent application published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and picked up by Apple Insider. The patent was entitled, "Voice-Based Image Tagging and Searching." This allows users to access and sort the photos saved a device like an iPhone 6.

The reason for the new features was the growing volume of photos collected by users on devices like iPhones, which make them increasingly hard to sort. The company noted that tagging photos based on names or locations will make it easier for users to find what they are looking for. Moreover, using speech is easier to tag and search the photos.

The proposed invention could also automatically tag photos based on the time and location where they were snapped and will make it easier for the users to sort their pictures and not make them to individually tag each picture. Apple's proposed system also allows the device to recognize faces, buildings or landscapes to tag similar photos.

In the iOS 7, Siri was already improved allowing users to sort photos based on date and location. The photos are presented in tiny thumbnails based on the year they were taken.

Meanwhile, rumors claimed that iPhone 6 will sport a larger screen display with a size between 4.8 inches and 6 inches. The next iPhone may also keep some of iPhone 5S features such as 64-bit A7 processor, M7 graphics chip and fingerprint sensor. Latest Apple patents hinted on some iPhone 6 features such as curved, flexible screen display with Liquidmetal and refocusable light camera. However, Apple has not confirmed any of these rumors.

iPhone 6 release date may definitely happen next year with conflicting rumors pointing to different months for possible launch. Some rumors claimed that iPhone 6 will be launched in the first quarter of 2014 to battle Samsung's flagship phone. However, other rumors noted that iPhone 6 release is set on the second half of the year. Some analysts think that iPhone 6 will be introduced to the public in June or July while others think it will be in October 2014.
