iPhone 6 Features May Include Heart Rate Monitor
One of the most bizarre yet possible rumors to land iPhone 6 is adding a feature to measure one's heart rate.
The rumor originated from a patent spotted by Apple Insider. Heart rate monitor that provides measurement can be beneficial for some users who have heart diseases and those who are engaged in sports and other strenuous activities. According to the report, the new feature will target those who are struggling with obesity and those risk of heart attacks.
The report added the next iPhone will come with hover gesture allowing users to utilize the phone without touching the screen. The technology is not entirely new since it was already used in Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3. However, if rumors were true, the technology would finally debut in Apple devices. The report noted Apple is developing the technology and the accurate method is expected for implementation in the future devices soon.
Rumors claimed iPhone 6 will sport a larger screen size ranging between 4.8 inches and 6 inches, with 64-bit A7 processor, M7 graphics chip and the fingerprint sensor that are first seen in iPhone 5S may be retained in the next handset.
The latest Apple patents hinted on some iPhone 6 features such as a curved, flexible screen display with Liquidmetal and refocusable light camera. Another patent suggested that Apple will further improve its voice assistant Siri and used in searching and tagging photos. However, Apple has not confirmed any of these rumors yet.
As for the iPhone 6 release, the device will definitely arrive next year although the exact launch is still unconfirmed. Initial reports claimed that iPhone 6 release date will happen in the first quarter of 2014 around March, which is the original release date of Apple's iPad. Other reports claimed that the next Apple smartphone will come in mid-2014 around May to July. There are also reports which stated that the next iPhone will wait for a full year and will be launched in October.
