iPhone 6, iPhone 5S Release Delayed as Apple Focuses More on Design Rather Than Specs?
The upcoming iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S are rumoured to receive upgrades on its design rather than what is inside the smartphone.
New rumours claimed that the tech giant Apple is pushing back the release date of the next generation of iPhone because of some issues in the production line working on the design of the new iPhone.
It seems that the Cupertino-based company is focusing more on the design and physical look of the handset rather than the features and specs.
Rumours claimed that the new iPhone will be thinner and lighter compared to its predecessor.
The new device will be available in various vibrant colours like pink and blue. Apple's iPhone usually comes in two colour variants - the Black and White.
According to a report in the Huffington Post, the next iPhone will come in a range of colours. Apple iPods have been coming in a range of vibrant and attractive colours and colourful iPhone is a possibility. Apple has been from some time now losing ground to Samsung, Nokia and other brand who are offering feature packed phones at a lower cost.
According to trak.in, released cheaper models "are slowly making Apple a generic brand rather than one which is enviable to masses and darling of the elite", and we will agree with this. While it will pull more customers to Apple, it might impact the brand image of the Cupertino giant.
On the other hand, Apple is speculated to unleash the two handsets in August of this year and early next year. According to AppleInsider, Chinese company Foxconn, the manufacturer behind most of Apple's products, will exclusively produce the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S.
Apple are expected to include an improved camera in the iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 5S which is rumoured to be capable of taking "Super HD" pictures. In order to take snaps at that resolution it'll need to have at least a 13 mega-pixel camera.
The lack of NFC support on the iPhone 5 was one of the biggest criticisms aimed at Apple's smartphone. Rumours suggest that the iPhone 5S could include support for the contact-less technology which can be used to pay for items in retail stores. Other features rumoured to be included in the handset is the A7 quad core chip processor, Retina or IGZO screen display among others.
