The demand for the largest smartphone ever from Apple, the iPhone 6 Plus, and the 4.7inch iPhone 6 are so high that both the models are currently unavailable for purchase. Apple's website states that the phablet will be available for shipping within three to four weeks, which means you will be able to lay your hands on your desired iPhone 6 model in October.

The pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus began on Sept 12 from the online store of Apple. Between the two new models, the iPhone 6 Plus was the first one to get sold out. According to Time, Apple claims that there has been a significant demand for the new iPhone models. The response has been so good that they have managed to set a record for the highest number of pre-orders overnight.

If you are thinking about purchasing the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plus through wireless carriers, you will face further delays in purchasing your handset. CNBC claims that the shipping date for the 32 GB and 64 GB iPhone 6 through Verizon is set for Oct 21. The same storage variants of iPhone 6 will be shipped through AT&T within 21 to 35 delays.

As far as iPhone 6 Plus is concerned, CNBC states that the handset is unavailable for immediate shipping with T-Mobile. Verizon claims that it will take three to four weeks to ship the iPhone 6 Plus. AT&T will be shipping the new phablet after 35 to 42 business days. Even with Sprint, the situation is not different.

The iPhone is the major revenue generator for the Cupertino company. According to PhoneArena, in 2013, the sales of iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C helped the company by earning $171 billion in revenue.

Apple is not selling 32GB storage options this year. It has been replaced by a 128GB option. On contract, the 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB variants of 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is available for $199, $299, and $399, respectively. The iPhone 6 Plus is available in storage variants like 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB at a price of $299, $399 and $499, respectively.

Apple is aiming to sell the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in 150 markets by the end of 2014. In the coming year, Apple will begin selling the Apple Watch.
