iPhone 6 New Release Imminent as Apple Enters Mid-August Production with New 24-Karat Gold iPhone 6
Apple's bid for the high end market intensified as reports about a new 24-karat gold iPhone 6 emerge. According to recent information, Luxury maker Brikk has went ahead of the release posting new pre-order system for the gold and platinum versions of the upcoming flagship. The price tag starts at $4,500. Supply chain sources from Asia also noted that Apple may enter mid-August production as the market continues to be baffled by the actual production and release schedule of the tech giant.
Pre-ordering an iPhone has never been easy feat. The hype that comes along with its release almost always drives people to wait for long hours or stay up during the wee hours just to access the online pre-order page. The best news perhaps is that people can now pre-order the device as early as today.
Recently, Luxury retailer Brikk has released a Lux line of iPhone 6 featuring the device in gold, platinum as well as diamond-encrusted renders. People can also get a white or black iPhone 6 and have the retailer polish with it with 24-karat pink gold or plain gold. Customers also have the option to upgrade to an all-platinum version. Brikk also offers complementary 1.08 carats diamonds on the Apple logo. Price tags range from $4,495 to $8,795.
In another report by Apple Insider, supply chain sources from Asia suggest that Foxconn has started preparations for the 4.7-inch model this July while the 5.5-inch preparations will commence in mid-August. According to Economic Daily News in Taiwan, Apple started the production for the smaller iPhone 6 last third week of July whereas the 5.5 will start on the second week of August. The production update has prompted analysts to rethink the actual release date of the iPhone 6 with some claiming that it is possible for Apple to resort to two release dates.
Apple has yet to make an official announcement about the matter
