iPhone 6 release date seems not far away since more attractive deals for the iPhone 5S emerged online. Carriers and retailers are bringing the price down of Apple smartphones.

One of the best deals for the new iPhone 5S is from T-Mobile where consumers can take home the handset for free. T-Mobile has dropped the upfront price of an iPhone 5s and the 5c to just $0 upfront charges with a 2-year Simply Choice Plan contract. T-Mobile also offered discounts to the iPad Air and iPad Mini Retina tablets. By availing T-Mobile's plan, buyers can get these tablets for $0 upfront and $26.25 and $22.08 a month charges, respectively.

In Amazon, unlocked versions of the iPhone 5S price are slashed by 38 percent. The 16 GB variant of iPhone 5S costs $745. Meanwhile, buyers can get the 16 GB iPhone 5S for $550 in eBay.

IBTimes AU reported on Dec 13 that Walmart, Best Buy and MacMall offer discounts on Apple's smartphone. Consumers can take home the iPhone 5S for as low as $120. Walmart offers the device for $127 from its original price of $199. Walmart's sale will begun Friday, Dec 13 at 8 am and will last until Dec 24.

Meanwhile, Best Buy, offers the iPhone 5S at a $75 discount, currently selling the device for $124 with a 24-month lock-in period. MacMall, on the other hand, offers the 16 GB iPhone 5S for $120.

Although prices of devices usually go down during the Christmas season, this is not the case with Apple. In the past, the company has been strict with the pricing strategy of its devices.

Reports are saying that the decrease in prices of Apple's iPhone could hint that the iPhone 6 release date is near. Rumours say the device could arrive early next year. And going by the rumour mill, the new iPhone will be retaining some of its predecessor's processor, graphics chip and fingerprint sensor. New patents sighted also suggest that the device will be showcasing a refocusable light camera and a curved screen display, which is also larger in size of between 4.8 to 6 inches.
