Apple Inc. (AAPL) will be releasing its iPhone 6 in 2014 and it is already creating a hype. Reports and rumors about the next flagship phone increase by the day. According to the latest information, Apple will be including a larger screen plus a curved and flexible display. Whereas some reports suggest the display will be a full HD screen, there are also analysts saying Apple may not go for such.

Apple has not announced the official release date of the iPhone 6. However, there are analysts predicting it can be around June 2014, the same time predicted for the launch of the 12.9-inch tablet. Others, on the other hand, claim that the handset will likely hit stores by the latter part of next year.

The Worldwide Developers Conference will be in June 2014. This is why there are many sources saying Apple could be releasing the iPhone 6 around the same time. Tech companies are best known to announce or launch major products during such events. As of the moment, these are just predictions. People should not mistake them for actual release dates.

Analysts draw predictions from past practices including trends. So far, June has been considered a release date because of the congress and likely release of the 12.9-inch tablet.

No Full HD

Reports seem to agree that the iPhone 6 will feature a larger screen and a higher resolution. Likewise, there are also sources suggesting the new flagship phone will feature a 4.8-inch Full HD display. Resolution support will be at 1,920 x 1,080. To some extent, it makes sense to create a display with such resolution. Other manufacturers like Samsung have done it, particularly with its Samsung Galaxy S4.

However, some analysts like to contend that Apple does not follow a similar trend. A good example is the iPad Air and the iPhone 5s. Both devices share similar screen sizes and resolutions as with previous models. Apple does not seem to mind that their tablet or phone is no longer the highest resolution. The company adopts newer features at its own pace.

Apple seems to focus more on providing consistent experience to users. It delivers a similar approach across all of its devices. Expert Reviews does not see Apple seeking to change any of its measures in the future. When the company chooses to go for a larger screen, it also needs to increase the reoslution. If Apple refuses to change the resolution, there would be lesser pixel density, making images and text appear softer. This will hinder the company from creating the "Retina Effect" which it does not want at all.

If Apple decides to move to a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, then it will need to increase pixel density, which can also hinder the device's ability to scale down apps neatly. The resolutiin is around 1.69 times the horizontal resolution and 1.69 for vertical resolution, which will increase the total resolution by as much as 3.38 times. This will result to unpleasant scaling.

Although people will have to wait for Apple's official announcement to see what the tech giant decides to go for, some analysts think it best that Apple quadruple the resolution choosing twice the horizontal resolution and twice the vertical resolution. This will give an iPhone 6 with 2,272 x 1,280 resolution.
