iPhone 6 Release Date, Mock-ups: Is this Your Ideal Next-gen Apple Smartphone? [PHOTOS]
iPhone 6 release date will be sometime in Q1 2014, according to analysts. The iPhone 5s will have to be its advance party to tide Apple fans over. But many of those who had earlier switched from iPhone 4 to 4s know this: the upgrade is not good enough until the single digit moves up a notch. Even artists are busier doing mockups of iPhone 6 than reading about the iPhone 5S.
iPhone 6 Mockup: What's the right Apple look-and-feel upgrade for you?
The accompanying slideshow features iPhone 6 mockups of 3D artist Martin Hajek. His work was posted on a French Weblog called, NoWhereElse. Blogger Steve Hemmerstoffer collaborated with Hajek for the mockups.
Hemmerstoffer brought his iPhone 6 wish list to form through Hajek's art. He has about 5-inch diagonal screen size in mind. To achieve this, the standard home button is replaced with a touch-sensitive area to maximize the front panel. Now this is not likely to happen, but the resulting images still seem interesting.
iPhone 6 Specs Wish List and Rumours
The iPhone 6 specs are expected to be at least as good as if not better than this year's celebrated smartphones from the CES and MWC events in Las Vegas and Barcelona, respectively. The quad-core 5-in Sony Xperia Z made waves at the CES event, while the 4.7-inch quad-core HTC One was the superstar at MWC. In a little over a week's time, Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S4, which is believed to be fueled by a quad-core heart.
The upcoming Apple A7 chipset is expected to pack in the same robust processor, memory and GPU combination for an iPhone upgrade that can kill or at least scare the competition. Otherwise, it could disappoint even the longtime Apple fans. The wait could be long. But if you will not go for any upgrade except iPhone 6, keep building up your own wish list. And then at least read other device's reviews to see what others are getting for their money - this year.
