iPhone 6 release date may be sooner as another iPhone 5S deal is seen. For those planning to buy an iPhone 5S before the year closes, Sam's Club is offering the 16 GB variant of iPhone 5S for $199 with the usual two-year contract with your chosen carrier among AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless, or the U.S. Cellular. The promo will run until January 2014.

However, the catch behind this deal is that the promo is exclusive to Sam's Club members. It is still unsure whether there will be another open house where non-members can take advantage of the rock bottom prices of the iPhone 5S.

In the previous week, Sam's Club held its Friends and Family Open House. Prior to this, the retailer already brought down the handset price to $147.

Meanwhile, other retailers offered discounts for iPhone 5S. Walmart is selling the device for $127 until Christmas Eve. The iPhone 5C is also available for $27. Both handsets come with a two-year contract.

Best Buy is offering a $75 discount on the iPhone 5S bringing its price to $124 with 24-month lock-in period. Meanwhile, MacMall is offering the 16 GB iPhone 5S for $120 and the 16 GB iPhone 5C for $20.

It is not surprising that prices of devices go down during the holiday season. However, iPhone's SRP is rigidly controlled by Apple in the past and consumers saw the aggressive decrease in the price of Apple smartphones, especially the iPhone 5C since its release.

This sudden decrease in iPhone prices hint the coming iPhone 6 release date, which is speculated to happen early next year. iPhone 6 is rumored to pack a larger screen display with a size between 4.8 inches to 6 inches. The next iPhone may retain some of iPhone 5S' features such as the 64-bit A7 processor, M7 graphics chip and the fingerprint sensor. However, new patents showed that iPhone 6 may include curved screen display and refocusable light camera.
