iPhone 6 Release Date Nears as More iPhone 5 Deals and Trade Ins Available in US and UK
iPhone 6 release date inches as more deals, discounts and trade in promos surfaced in the US and UK.
iPhone 6 is speculated to arrive on September 10. The device may have a worldwide release on September 20. A proof that this could be true is the various deals and trade-ins that the current iPhone 5 is receiving.
In the US, electronics retailer Best Buy is offering up to $200 for your old iPhone. This offer does not only apply on iPhones but to other smartphones as well. Web site Gazelle will give you up to $300 for your old iPhone 5 in good condition.
US carrier Virgin Mobile is also offering a 20% discount on 16GB version of iPhone 5 with no term contract. The iPhone 5 costs $439.99 with free shipping that is normally priced at $549.99. However, the promo is available only in the US for today until supplies lasts.
In online retailer Amazon, an unlocked version of 16GB iPhone 5 is offered for $686, which is below its normal price of over $750.
In UK, British carriers are offering cheaper plans with different terms for as low as £27 per month.
The full-fledged iPhone 6 is expected to come with new features such as larger screen display; A7 quad core chip paired with 3GB RAM; Near Field Communication; 13MP back camera; up to 128GB internal storage and longer battery life. Reports claimed that a gold iPhone is another colour option that will be available for the taking.
Apple is also expected to release a cheaper iPhone dubbed as iPhone 5C. The cheaper iPhone will come with 4-inch screen display, a dual core processor and an 8MP back camera all housed in a cheap plastic casing. The handset will be available in a wide array of fun colours like the fifth generation of iPod Touch. The cheaper iPhone may also come with iPhone 5's specs and features.
