iPhone 6 Release Date Soon as iPhone 5C Prices Flops for Cyber Monday 2013 Deals
iPhone 6 release date may be sooner than later as the price of iPhone 5C plummets this Black Friday and Cyber Monday craze.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the two biggest sales adapted in many parts of the world. Many companies and retailers give out attractive deals and discounts on various items. This year, Apple joined that yearly shopping craze by offering some of its devices at a relatively lower price.
One of the Apple devices that slashed 50% off its original price is the iPhone 5C. The low cost variant of Apple's iPhone is currently offered by various retailers for $49 with two-year contract with a carrier. Some retailers give out gift cards, which you can use in shopping. Thus, you can take home the new iPhone 5C for free.
The lacklustre iPhone 5C was introduced and released last September. However, reports said that the response on the handset in terms of sales is not what Apple is expecting from the device.
The unpopularity of the iPhone 5C is due to its price. Many people think that the low cost iPhone 5C did not fall in the category. Moreover, there are other cheaper alternatives for the full-fledged iPhone 5S like the iPhone 4S. Lastly, it seems that the colourful, plastic casing of the handset does not appeal much to buyers.
Some reports claimed that the production of iPhone 5C is cut down due to poor sales. Grapevine said that Apple intends to bounce back from defeat next year with the release of iPhone 6.
Some of the rumoured features of the upcoming iPhone 6 are a large screen display within the range of 4.8 to 6 inches. Various analysts agreed that Apple will finally increase the screen size of its iPhone. Moreover, it may retain some of iPhone 5S' new features such the 64-bit A7 processor, M7 graphics chip and the fingerprint sensor.
iPhone 6 release date is speculated to take place early next year, most probably in March. However, new rumours point on a possible release date in June 2014, which is the original launch date of Apple's iPhone.
