iPhone 6 release date may showcase an amazing flexible, wraparound screen display that will rival Samsung Galaxy S5.

According to the latest patent filed by Apple picked up by Patently Apple, the file showed a bendable screen using a powder Liquidmetal process. A flexible, wraparound screen display will allow users to view content on the front and back and the sides of the device.

But Apple's patent noted there will be non-touch surfaces at the top and bottom. The document also said the device will use a gyroscope and accelerometer to adjust the display depending on the user's viewing angles.

Also, the patent mentioned that the display materials can be molded into different shapes, including hollow cylinders, tubes, triangles and rectangles, sparking rumors that it could be used in different product categories like the smartwatch.

The patent also cited that it will be using Liquidmetal in its screen. This was not the first time that Apple will make use of this material. The metallic cover of the current iPhone 5S is laced with Liquidmetal and the aluminium band that wraps around the handset's edges that overlap under the phone's thin bezels. Patently Apple also cited some of its accessories will use the technology. For example, the Smart cover that Apple sells in the original iPad and iPad Mini will also be embedded with Liquidmetal.

Liquidmetal may make most of the exterior covering that will protect the large screen iPhone 6 and its inner components. Liquidmetal greatly complements the rumored Sapphire glass in the smartphone's screen display. This combination will produce an indestructible smartphone.

Rumors claimed iPhone 6 will sport larger screen display with a size between 4.8 and 6 inches. The smartphone will most likely retain some of iPhone 5S features such as 64-bit A7 processor, M7 graphics chip and the fingerprint sensor. Other Apple patents hinted that iPhone 6 may include a curved screen display and refocusable light camera although Apple has not confirmed any of these rumors.

As for the release, previous rumors pointed to an earlier release date in the first quarter of 2014, probably around March. Other speculations started to emerge saying the next iPhone will be released later next year. Some analysts believe that iPhone 6 will be introduced to the public in June or July 2014.
