The iPhone 6 release date is reported to be in March next year. The new iPhone will feature A8 processor and wraparound screen display, according to reports.

However, reports added that Apple will lessen its dependency on its supplier, Samsung, in making the processors. Apple will shift from Samsung to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC). TSMC, the world's largest independent semiconductor manufacturer, will build a new plant to accommodate the processor production for Apple, according to a report by Android Authority.

Such move was long rumoured since last year. Last summer, the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple finally signed a deal with TSMC to make the processors of upcoming Apple products starting 2014, reported the same Web site. In the meantime, Samsung is still making the processors for Apple products that will be released this year such as the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.

Another feature that will most likely arrive on the iPhone 6 is a bigger display screen, which is absent in the recently released iPhones. The upcoming Apple's phablet may sport a screen with 4.5 to 5 inches in size. The iPhone 6 will also include a wraparound AMOLED screen that could look like the iPod Nano 4 that can be "unfolded" with the aid of a hinge which is "a hardware device that mechanically joins or affixes two or more objects together," according to the patent seen in Patently Apple.

That the iPhone 6 release date may take place on the first quarter of next year around January to March has been heard through the grapevine. It is speculated that the release of the iPhone 6 next year is due to incomplete specs and features packed in the iPhone 5S. Thus, all updates and innovation that Apple wants to include in the handset will be packed in the rumoured iPhone 6, rumors are saying.

Rumours also claimed that the iPhone 6 will be Apple's own version of a phablet, which will face off with Samsung Galaxy Note series. The iPhone 6 will include features like 5 inches Full HD screen display, A8 processor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, 12-megapixel rear camera, NFC and internal storage of up to 128 GB, according to a number of reports.
