Samsung recently released its high-end smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which will battle head on with the release of the iPhone 6 in a few hours.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was announced last week at its Unpacked event in Berlin and packed features such as a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, LTE/4G capabilities, 5.7-inch Full-HD Super-AMOLED display, 3,200 mAh, as well as a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. The phablet runs with the latest 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.

Apple is bound to introduce the next generation of iPhone. According to rumours, the iPhone 6 features may include a larger screen display; A7 quad core chip paired with 3 GB RAM, Near Field Communication, 13 MP back camera, up to 128 GB internal storage and longer battery life.

Below are the five reasons why Apple can still win over the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Price - As expected, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 landed a premium price because of the huge screen display and S-Pen stylus. It is being offered at $299.99 by carriers that doubles the iPhone's common offer at $199.99. Having a lower-priced device that people will go for will be a big advantage for Apple.

Fast OS updates - iPhones and its iOS are from the same company. Thus, Apple has control over its operating system and can release iOS updates quickly to Apple users, which they can easily download OTA. This is not the case with Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Note 3 runs with Google's Android OS. Samsung, sometimes, has delayed roll out of OS updates.

Fingerprint Sensor - One of the rumoured features of the iPhone 6 is the fingerprint sensor on the home button. This is for added security of iPhone users who are often targets of phone thefts. This is lacking in Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Storage - Although the possible largest storage for both devices is 128 GB, the two offer storage differently. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has 64 GB that users can further expand by another 64 GB through microSD slot. However, there are limitations to the microSD card that prevent what users can store. The iPhone 6 features include 128 GB internal storage.

Design - Apple could also win in terms of design, since Apple's press invite hinted that the next iPhone will come in different colors.

However, consumers will have to wait for the iPhone 6 release date coming very soon to see whether the iPhone 6 could really win over Samsung's mammoth smartphone.
