iPhone 6S And iPhone 6S Plus Release Date Imminent In September, Will Arrive With A9 Chip, 2 GB RAM, Insane Camera And More
Apple had released its last smartphones, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus in September 2014. Rumours are rife that the Cupertino company are working on successor models called the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. Here is a low down on expected features for both the iPhone 6S models.
Design And Display
Pocket-Lint is of the view that the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will appear a lot like the predecessor models. However, both the devices will come with upgraded internal components.
The Wall Street Journal report claims that the upcoming iPhones will be available in two screen sizes, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. Apple is also expected to introduce a new pink colour option along with usual colour variants like space gray, silver and gold.
An older Apple Insider report states that Apple is soon going to launch iPhones with wrap-around interactive side displays. It is also long rumoured that Apple would sapphire glass display on its forthcoming iPhones. It is also speculated that the next iPhones would feature Liquidmetal exterior.
Processor And RAM
Instead of the Apple A8 chip that power drives the iPhone 6 models. The upcoming iPhone 6S devices are going to be powered by Apple A9 chips. According to Bloomberg, Samsung will be building the A9 chips. The International Business Times report states that future iPhones will feature 2 GB of RAM.
Internal Storage And OS
Pocket-Lint claims that the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will come in native storage variants of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. The IBTimes report adds that both the iDevices will come preloaded with iOS 9.
Camera
The iPhone 4S and all the iPhone models that have been launched after it feature 8 MP camera. According to John Gruber, a famous blogger that is known for revealing leaked information of Apple products, the next iPhones will come with a newer camera with support for DSLR-like imagery. Sounds insane? Well, Apple Insider does not agree with his view as introducing such a high-end camera would require redesigning the exterior of the iPhone 6 models. Hence, Apple is rumoured to again feature 8 MP fon its upgraded iPhone 6S models.
Force Touch
Apple’s Force Touch technology that knows to differentiate between soft and hard taps on the display is expected to come to the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. Mac Rumors reports that the feature is so significant that Apple may end calling its forthcoming iPhone as the iPhone 7 instead of iPhone 6S Plus. Both iPhones will also come with Touch ID sensor.
iPhone 6S And iPhone 6S Plus Release Date
According to Pocket-Lint, since Apple has been adhering to same release pattern for its iPhones, it is not difficult to predict the release date for the upcoming iPhones. In the past few years, Apple has launched iPhones in the month of September.
For instance, the iPhone 5 was released in September 2012. In September 2013, the Cupertino company released the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. Both the iPhone 6 models too came out in September 2014. Hence, it is being predicted that the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S release dates are set for September 2015.
As of this writing, Apple has not confirmed on any of the aforementioned information for its next iPhones. Do let us know you what you expect from the upcoming iPhones through comments.
