iPhone 6’s 'New' Screen Resolution Tipped; Projections for 2014 Tablet Growth Lowered to 12%
With myriad leaked images, reports and several confirmed features, Apple iPhone 6 is one of the most anticipated smartphones ever. The upcoming iPhone 6 smartphone will feature a bigger 4.7 inches screen and the upcoming phablet from Apple is expected to sport a bigger 5.5 inches display.
iPhone 6 Screen Resolution
According to early predictions by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple's iPhone 6 with 4.7 inches display was expected to feature 1,334 x 750 pixels resolution. The site backed its claim (without revealing the source) by reporting that an iPhone 6 smartphone with the aforementioned resolution is in testing phase. Hence this could be the confirmed screen resolution of the 4.7 inches iPhone 6.

Projections for 2014
The tablet market growth trajectory has taken a beating in recent times. Notably, Apple's iPad sales did not live up to the growth projection and the decline figure is quite startling for the last quarter. Katy Huberty, Apple analyst at Morgan Stanley reported that the sales projections for 2014 tablet growth are being reduced from 26% to a shocking 12%.
The projection cut is a massive one owing to the fact that the product in question is one of the most popular and an important product across the globe. The possible reasons for this unexpected decline in projections could be attributed to the stiff competition from the low-budget phablets and smartphones with bigger displays and the lack of uniqueness in the new tablets, reports BGR.
According to research firm Canalys, the phablet sales are going to peak this year. The smartphones with 5 inches and larger screens grew by 369%. It is worth noting that, the phablets with bigger displays amounted to 34% of shipment worldwide.
