Apple's iPhone 6s continues to make waves as new purchase commitment details show the company's intent to make a big splash. Apple posted $26.5 billion for off-balance-sheet commitments towards the conclusion of June quarter. Further, new photos of the iPhone 6s seemingly confirm new design approach. Will the iPhone 6s be more successful than the original iPhone 6 series?

Apple's 10-q filing in the previous week showed the company's purchase commitments. More importantly, Morgan Stanley's Katy Huberty said in a report that the figures account for 26 percent year over year increase. This also accounted for 15 percent sequential growth amidst challenging references.

AppleInsider notes Huberty saying that the figures suggest Apple's iPhone cycle plans specifically year-over-year growth. From the commitments, Apple allotted around $22 billion to components and outsourcing. This is 41 percent more year over year. Additionally, the commitment is also 14 percent higher than the last quarter.

Other reasons for the increased funding are to acquire capital assets, components, manufacturing process equipment and product tooling. However, analysts previously did express concern over Apple's design decisions over the iPhone 6s saying that if the company chose a similar design with the iPhone 6 then growth may be slower.

Speaking of the design, French blog, Nowhereelse.fr, released a series of photos again showing the iPhone 6s front panel fresh from the production line. The timing of the release or the leak makes sense as the company appears eager to stack up stocks. As with the featured iPhone 6s, this seemingly confirms Apple's intention to stick to the S range design principle choosing not to make any changes to the original appearance.

Apple has released any official statements about the upcoming line. It did note during its Q3 financial results that despite missing analyst estimates, iPhones are still popular. Apple sold around 47.5M units from just April to June.
