The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are the most popular smartphones built by Apple. Compared to all the previous iPhone models, the iPhone 6 duos come with larger displays. The success of the iPhone 6 models clearly indicates that Apple fans have been eagerly waiting to purchase large-sized iPhones.

Since the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have met with unprecedented success, speculations are rife that Apple is anticipating more demand for the successor models, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. Apple has not confirmed anything on the forthcoming iPhone, but rumours claim that the company is readying itself so that it does not encounter inventory shortages in building the next iPhone.

According to ECTimes, the iPhone 6S specs include 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and it is expected to roll in September 2015. The next iPhone will also include features like connectivity features like LTE Advanced, NFC for making payments through Apple Pay, Touch ID support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and so on.

A new feature that is expected to arrive on the next iPhone is the “Force Touch” technology that will enable the device to distinguish between a light tap and long press. The said feature has been already introduced on other Apple products such as the Apple Watch and the new 12-inch MacBook Retina 2015.

In order to prevent inventory shortages, Taiwanese suppliers will start with the mass production of the hardware components by the second quarter of 2015. G for Games report states that if the iPhone 6S is going to feature the 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, the suppliers will have to manufacture twofold amount of DRAM chips than the previous year.

The IBTimes report dated March 9 states that the iPhone 6S will be featuring an edge-to-edge display like the Galaxy S6 Edge. It is also going to be equipped with Apple SIM slot that will allow users to switch between different service providers. Another IBTimes post suggest that the next iPhone loaded with iOS 9 and Apple A9 processor and is expected to enter mass production phase by June.
