Iron Banner Crucible event has returned to ‘Destiny: The Taken King’
The Iron Banner, a special Crucible (player vs. player) event, has returned to “Destiny.” After the release of “Destiny: Taken King,” this is the third time the week-long event is coming to the game. It will have Guardians participating, and PS3 and PS4 players will have a chance to unlock an exclusive set of gear.
This time, the Iron Banner Crucible event is going to be very interesting. According to GameZone, the update released by Bungie earlier this month added a lot of new features and weapons to the game. The weapons added to “Destiny” have higher attack range and do more damage. On top of that, the armour sets with higher defence ratings resist more damage.
The Iron Banner event for “Destiny” is being hosted for the first time after the massive update released in December. According to a report by Inquistr, the update for “Destiny” brought many big changes including Titan rebalancing, weapon balancing and new armour and weapons. The last update also fixed many glitches.
Unlike the other Crucible matches, the Iron Banner brings many exciting challenges for “Destiny” players. Gamers come equipped with best gears because “Destiny” is all about power. Guardians with higher light level take down the players with lower light level. Guardians that take part into the Iron Banner event within “Destiny” will be able to unlock exclusive set of gear for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4.
Via PlayStation blog, Deej, community manager at Bungie, suggested for players to stay equipped with powerful armour as the game mode will be offering highly competitive environment. The Iron Banner event for “Destiny” will start on Jan. 5, 2016.
