“It’s an Overwhelming Feeling, How Warm I was Met Here in the Philippines,” Said Miss World Megan Young on Arrival at Philippines
The Philippines' first Miss World Winner, Megan Young, arrived in the country on Thursday afternoon at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport 10 days after her triumphant mission for the coveted "blue crown."
On board a Cathay Pacific flight from London, with the coveted sapphire-laden crown on her head Young waved to her fans upon her arrival at the airport.
Young is back in her country with Miss World chairwoman and CEO Julia Morley, as well as Steve Douglas and Victoria Cameron after winning the coveted crown. The world's most beautiful woman Megan Young has been overwhelmed by the warm welcome.
"It's an amazing feeling," Young managed to say before shedding tears of joy. "It's an overwhelming feeling, how warm I was met here in the Philippines." she told the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
"These are tears of joy. I'm just really happy to be home and just really happy to see everyone," she said.
"This victory is not just for me, this is a victory for the Filipinos as well."
Young revealed that her international title still felt "surreal" and she was just "enjoying the moment and what's happening right now."

While in the Philippines, Young will be over occupied with various event and meetings. Her busiest schedule includes a courtesy call on President Benigno Aquino III, a photo opportunity with fans, a trip to her hometown Olongapo, and a visit to the Philippine General Hospital, and many more.
