James Bond Twitter Pic Suggests "Spectre" Boat Scene [Video]
The official "James Bond" twitter account has teased fans with a new behind-the-scenes image from the upcoming movie "Spectre." The image has been re-tweeted more than 400 times since it was posted on May 9.
The image features speed boats in a boat house. The post, which came with the message, "Pushing the boat out," has got the Bond fans excited.
Although it is not confirmed there will be a boat chase in "Spectre," the "Bond" franchise is well known for many iconic boat chases in movie history. According to MBY.com, the first bond movie to feature a boat chase was Sean Connery's "From Russia With Love" in 1963.
Another classic boat scene is in the 1973 movie "Live and Let Die" when Roger Moore leapt over cars with a Glastron GT-150. Pierce Brosnan's 1999 "The World is Not Enough" opened with an exhilarating boat scene shot on the Thames.
Daniel Craig's Bond is also not unfamiliar with boat chase scenes. The 2008 super spy movie, "Quantum Of Solace" featured an action scene where 007 is shown pursuing villains on a wooden boat. (Watch the scene below.)
On April 22, Sony Pictures released a teaser of "Spectre" at the CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The teaser was presented to the press and attendees behind closed doors. There was a pre-recorded message by the director shown before the teaser. The messege requested the attendees not to reveal the scene's big spoiler.
A week later, another behind-the-scenes clip from "Spectre" was released on April 30. The video included a car chase featuring 007's Aston Martin in the streets of Rome. The latest Bond flick marks the 50th anniversary of Bond's use of an Aston Martin. The 1964 Bond movie, "Goldfinger," was the first movie to feature an Aston Martin.
"Spectre" will be Daniel Craig's fourth outing as James Bond. The movie also features Chrisoph Waltz as Oberhauser. In the novels, Oberhauser is the name of Bond's former skiing instructor.
Sam Mendes will be returning as the director once again. Craig and Christoph Waltz will be joined by Monica Bellucci, Dave Bautista and Lea Seydoux. The movie is set to be released on Nov. 6 this year.
