James Bond 'Spectre' Teaser Released By Sony
Sony Pictures presented a teaser of the latest James Bond movie "Spectre" at the CinemaCon on April 22. The studio unveiled the teaser for the 24th James Bond movie along with teasers of some of their biggest upcoming movies including "Pixels" and "Hotel Transylvania 2."
According to IGN.com, a pre-recorded message by director Sam Mendes was shown before the teaser. The report said that the Oscar winning director requested the attendees and press not to reveal the scene's big spoiler.
ComicBook.com reports that the teaser opens with Bond standing in his sparsely furnished apartment and staring out the window. The doorbell rings, Bond opens the door to find Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) standing with a package. She gives him the package calling it "your delivery," before following him into the apartment Moneypenny then asks if he has just moved in, Bond replies, "No."
The spy then offers her a drink, which she declines. She then talks about an event that happened in “Mexico” that left many in the MI6 thinking Bond went “one step too far.” At this point Bond turns on a television and begins playing a video message. This is the scene Mendes asked not to reveal. The message gives instructions to Bond to kill an individual.
The super spy reveals that he has been tracking the target, but has found his movements limited by MI6. He then asks Moneypenny to operate as a mole for him within the MI6, specifically to do a bit of research about a name that he heard in Mexico, "The Pale King." She questions why Bond would actually trust her with this job, to which 007 responds, "Instinct."
The ComicBook.com report also stated that the rest of the video was a montage of the action in the movie. It ends with a scene where the spy is shown pressing Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci) against a wall and she tells him if he doesn't leave, "we'll die together, Mr...?" to which he responds, "Bond, James Bond."
Daniel Craig will return as 007 for the fourth time in "Spectre," he will be joined by Christoph Waltz playing a character called Oberhauser. The rest of the cast includes Dave Bautista, Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux. The movie is set to be released on Nov. 6 this year.
