'Jane The Virgin' Season Finale Preview: Jane Gives Birth [Spoilers]

The season finale of the new hit comedy series “Jane The Virgin” is just around the corner. The CW has released the official synopsis for episode 22 and the big news is: “She’s having a baby!” Jane finally gives birth to the baby she’s been carrying all season but that’s not all that will be happening in the episode. Here’s what to expect: [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]

On episode 22, Jane is ready to give birth after she successfully turned the baby from a breech position. She goes into false labour but being the cool cookie that she always is, she insists that the soon-to-be grandparents Xiomara and Rogelio go ahead to perform their show in Las Vegas. Jane knows that the show is the biggest break that her mom ever got in her career so she insists that Xo should push through with the performance.

As her parents fly off to Vegas, Jane goes into real labour and she is left with Alba to support her. Xiomara tries her best to get back to her daughter but she unintentionally makes Rogelio feel left out. Also standing by are Jane’s ex-fiancé Michael and her baby daddy and ex-boyfriend Rafael. Michael and Rafael will be forced to set aside their ill feelings towards each other and their feelings for Jane as they both try to support her in this crucial time.

Once Jane’s baby is born, everyone is ecstatic including her grandmother Alba. She’s excited about the birth and can’t wait to tell her “special friend” Edward. Even though she is morally torn by the fact that he’s a Catholic Priest, Alba is still letting their closeness get deeper.

Speaking of being torn, Petra has a dilemma of her own. She has been trying to get her ex-husband Rafael back now that they are finally getting along while trying to save the hotel. She finds out some information that concerns him but she isn’t sure if she should let him know.

In an interview with Executive Producer Jennie Urman, she told TVLine that Rafael’s stepmother Rose a.k.a. Sin Rostro will be a part of the season finale. Sin Rostro has been a pivotal character from the beginning but has been out of sight in the past few episodes after her identity was exposed. She is expected to make a big comeback for the season finale which airs on Monday, May 11 at 9 pm on the CW.
