Michael Bay's Transformer trilogy may have gotten an "A+" when it comes to the graphics and special effects that delivered realistic robots on the big screen. However, a Japanese student invented a real Transformer robot.

Since Kenji Ishida posted the videos of his "Brave Robot" on YouTube, it already garnered millions of views and left a lot of viewers envious.

Ishida has put together a remote controlled car that, at the touch of a button, unfolds and reshapes itself into a full-motion, colorful robot, looking to be straight out of the popular Transformers cartoon and movie series.

The 29-year-old said the piece of metal is equipped with 22 servo motors and is the eighth iteration of the Brave Robot series.

Once it transformed itself into a robot, it can deliver an uppercut like how it was depicted in the video.

Known for its "Lady Bug" insectoid robots, the Brave Robot is a major leap forward for the company.

The new real Transformers robot will be a big hit in the market and may be a highly-demanded product on next Christmas. The robot was supposed to be Ishida's entry in the robotic slugfests against other inventors.
